First ever Google+ television ads

It wasn’t that long ago that Eric Schmidt, Google CEO, tweeted about Google’s Superbowl ad. Till then, Google has been resorting against traditional marketing strategies like the television ads for many years, more than a decade to be precise. The web giant’s super bowl ad changed things on its head.  The ad was a fantastic one indeed.

After that it isn’t that hard to spot a Google’s advertisement on television. Most of you watching the Thanksgiving day Lions/Packers game might have noticed the Google+ ad. This is the first time Google has advertised is social network through this traditional marketing channel. The move doesn’t come as a big surprise to many as Google has been working tirelessly to make Google plus popular among masses as it tries to overthrow Facebook as the number one social network in the world. There is a long way to go though. What do you think about the ad people?
